Sunrise From Chick Hill
The not quite full moon behind me provides a glowing light for me to work by. The winds blow by like a freight train as I witness the days first light emerge from below the horizon.

Good Morning America
I had always thought that the peak of Mt Katahdin saw America's first light, but not according to the the people at the National Park office. Anyway, here is what I witnessed today.

These Kids were having a good time photographing each other and the sunrise.

Sunrise over Bangor
Good morning all. This is what I witnessed this morning. I just wish the camera could capture it as well as our eyes and mind can. Enjoy

"Nature's first green is gold,
Her hardest hue to hold.
Her early leaf's a flower;
But only so an hour.
Then leaf subsides to leaf.
So Eden sank to grief,
so dawn goes down to day.
Nothing gold can stay."

Maine Wildlife
Here is something you won't see everyday, unless you live in the Bowerbank area.
This dosn't look real, but it is. This ox is one of many that resides in Bowerbank Maine. This massive animal can run fast and jump high and I found that you should not run in its presents. These seemed quite tame, but I was with the owners when I got up close. There are things you want to know before approaching these giants.
Its hair will grow to be about 10 inches long in the winter time.

Fall In Maine
Still trekking through the park, I captured this image. I like the way the colors and the silky smooth water contrast with one another.

Fall In Maine
Bar Harbor was just crawling with tourist from the two cruise ships that were moored in Frenchman's bay, so I was glad to be having my adventure in the park and away from the crowds.

Fall In Maine
Acadia National Park looks its best durning the fall when it is showing all the colors. Although my trip was a bit premature for peak color, I was able to find some color during my trek through the woods.

Painting With Light Extra
Wow, I thought I was done with this, but then I drove by this place. I do a lot of driving to a lot of places, now where did I see that? Hmmm! Anyway, Mr. Police Man, thanks for not taking me to jail.

Stupid me didn't give the police man a business card! Market, Market, Market!

Mt Katahdin
So yesterday I skipped out on work and went flying. (of course I still had to work when I got back). We caught the guy that does the crop circles and we also headed north to Mt. Katahdin. It is rare, in my experience, to be able to fly around the mountain as we did today. The winds really whip over the top and create some turbulence that is quite rough. Today we were lucky.
