Reba

Just because this blog as been inactive for so long I thought I'd just throw this pic of Reba up from last year. She flew into BIA as she was performing at the waterfront concerts and took the time to stop and say hi to some of our military guys that were standing by.

Nature Calling

My friend was telling me about her flowers as we sat on the picnic table watching the the day slip away. I'm watching the sunset and the bees float about the flowers when the light begun to take on that magical glow. I grabbed my camera out of my truck and mounted my 11mm lens. I took one shot from a couple feet away and then this one right up close. Just before I released the shutter this bee came into view and made the shot.

This image was taken right at sunset with an 11mm lens and a SB800 flash set to TTL with a -1EV flash dialed in.

Now that I can update my blog from my Blackberry, I thought I'd try sending a photo, after all this is a photo journal!

Here is a cool paint job on a building in Tampa, Florida that I took on my Blackberry.

I just set up my blackberry to do mobil blogging and thought I'd try it out!

Fashion on the Slopes

This image of my friend Sonya was taken on the slopes at about 3:30 in the afternoon. This was a test shot taken just before photographing her kids.

POD - Barns and Farms

Here is something that you always find on a farm. This one looks like it was made out of Lincoln Logs.

POD - Barns and Farms

Barns and Farms are always a great places to get some photos. This fence was taken on some back road in Levant, Maine. Note the barb wire fence just below the horizontal piece of the wooden fence.

POD - Miscellaneous

This steeple has some interesting details on it for something that is so high up. I like the little railing that is near the top and half missing. Also the moldings on the corners and the louvered windows.

POD - Abandoned Places

Here we have the clasp to the old shed where the window shot was taken. That round spot above the clasp is a ghost... you've seen ghost busters no? It's not really a ghost its just lens glare from the sun sneaking into my lens by bouncing off a speck of dust.

POD - Abandoned Places

This image was taken in an old shed taken at a different location from the previous images. It looks as though some animal was trying to climb up the window, you can see paw marks on the right hand side.

POD - Abandoned Places

I had much better light to work with in this room, room 666, can't you see the writing on the wall? Ok, so my jokes are pretty lame, but I think this is a good shot. That is the box spring to the mattress from a previous shot at this same place.
