Barns and Farms are always a great places to get some photos. This fence was taken on some back road in Levant, Maine. Note the barb wire fence just below the horizontal piece of the wooden fence.

This steeple has some interesting details on it for something that is so high up. I like the little railing that is near the top and half missing. Also the moldings on the corners and the louvered windows.

Here we have the clasp to the old shed where the window shot was taken. That round spot above the clasp is a ghost... you've seen ghost busters no? It's not really a ghost its just lens glare from the sun sneaking into my lens by bouncing off a speck of dust.

This image was taken in an old shed taken at a different location from the previous images. It looks as though some animal was trying to climb up the window, you can see paw marks on the right hand side.

I had much better light to work with in this room, room 666, can't you see the writing on the wall? Ok, so my jokes are pretty lame, but I think this is a good shot. That is the box spring to the mattress from a previous shot at this same place.

Hey did I mention that it's always good to have a flashlight with you when out exploring? Where this image was taken it was almost totally dark. I bumped my ISO up as far as I could and did my best to hand hold the camera still for 1/20 of a second for this shot using only available light.

Abandoned buildings can be a lot of fun to explore and contain a wealth of photo opts too! Caution must be taken as most of these places are usually half fallen down and your weight might just bring the other half down....now that would bring a damper to your day! Anyway the next few images were taken in an old abandoned house I stumbled upon while out driving.

My friend and I head to Mt Katahdin in hopes to get some sunrise photos and maybe even get graced with some moose photos. Unfortunately for us the gate to the park doesn't open till after sunrise, so we seek out a place outside the park. We spotted this place through a little opening in the trees and hauled on the brakes. No sooner did we get set up and shoot and the sun was up and the scene was gone.

Who Have We Photographed This Year?

Addie Jordan, a senior at Ellsworth High School, will be performing in the Robinson Ballet's Version of the Nutcracker this fall.

Addie will be dancing the roles of: Rat Helper, a Soloist, Spanish, Soloist in Waltz of the Flowers and Coda Finale.

You will want to be sure to catch the spectacular performance by Addie and the rest of the Robinson Ballet Dancers at the Grand in Ellsworth, December 13th & 14th and again at Peaks Auditorium in Bangor sat Dec 20 at 2 & 7pm and again Sunday Dec 21 at 3pm. Its an evening not to forget!

Addie loves ballet and has done it her whole life. Addie enjoys hanging out with friends and works at The Grasshopper Shop. After high school she plans on going to college for nursing and living life!

I had always thought that the peak of Mt Katahdin saw America's first light, but not according to the the people at the National Park office. Anyway, here is what I witnessed today.
